News shots: Ecodrive has a positive start to 2016

Here is some of the latest news from Ecodrive HQ including a story about managing director and veteran engineer Steve Allen.

Praise for Ecodrive Workshop Coordinator Danny Smith

Anthony Jenkinson, fleet after sales manager at DAF Thame praised Ecodrive workshop coordinator Danny Smith for his level and technical knowledge.

Mr Jenkinson was pleased with the level of support that he received at Ecodrive and was able to pass on a good deal of technical expertise to the rest of the DAF Thame team.

Ecodrive integrated into Flogas online fleet management system

LPG supplier Flogas has invited Ecodrive to work more closely with the company on their Tranman online fleet management system.

Closer integration will help ensure better communication between the two companies and means that Ecodrive will be able to offer a more efficient service when vehicles require servicing. It will also help to document all of the companies’ interactions digitally.

Ecodrive provide quick service during the festive period

A large MAN dealer was pleased to receive a ZF AS Lite transmission just a few days into the start of 2016 when it had been picked up by Ecodrive a few days before Christmas day.

Even with the Ecodrive workshop closed over the festive break, the technical team still managed to repair and fully test the unit ready for delivery in the New Year.

The dealer praised Ecodrive after he was able to refit the broken unit for a very happy fleet operator.

20 year old gearbox brings Ecodrive MD Steve Allen back into the workshop

Ecodrive service engineers were left scratching their heads when a 20 year old Eaton Fuller gearbox landed in the workshop earlier this month.

The unit, which had been fitted to an old crane, is now so rare that specialist parts had to be shipped in from the USA, and the vastly experienced Steve Allen had to be called down to the workshop floor to offer advice.
