About Ecodrive Transmissions Ltd
Founded in June 2001 by Steve Allen and Graham Evans, Ecodrive Transmissions Ltd has grown from a small operation with a single unit and five employees into one of the UK’s leading specialists in HGV and PSV transmission systems.
Shortly after its formation, Ecodrive was awarded ZF Service Partner status, establishing the foundations for the company’s commitment to quality, technical excellence, and customer service. Through reliable workmanship and expert support, Ecodrive quickly earned a strong reputation for transmission repairs, exchange units, and parts supply throughout the commercial vehicle industry.
As demand for our services increased, we expanded into an adjoining unit in 2003, allowing us to develop dedicated facilities including a vehicle workshop, test area, stores department, and office space. Continued investment in our people, facilities, and technical capabilities enabled us to further strengthen our position within the industry.
Over the following two decades, Ecodrive became a trusted name in HGV and PSV transmissions, building long-standing relationships with customers across the UK. Today, we are proud to be the UK’s longest-serving ZF Service Partner, reflecting our extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of ZF products and systems.
In 2026, founders Steve Allen and Graham Evans retired, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the business. Leadership was passed to Managing Director Samantha Patton and Technical Director Nathan Hogarth, both of whom have extensive experience within Ecodrive and the wider commercial vehicle industry. Together, they continue to drive the company forward while maintaining the values, expertise, and customer focus that have been central to Ecodrive’s success since day one.
